The River of Life
THE RIVER OF LIFE
Love is strong and constant like the river.
It can happen in a moment
Or seem distant for a time.
It has cold ripples causing shivers.
It also has warm smooth indents,
to help sooth over the pains of time.
Life’s path often twists and turns,
Changing shape as it goes.
It looks beautiful and calm
But it is often a deception
As the pains and trials don’t always show.
We don’t often find a soothing balm
To help heal the hurting inside.
