 Their Propaganda

The professors and scientist
used their own propaganda
to make assumptions to warp and twist
the truth to fit their personal agenda

By creating deceiving timelines
of when this world truly began
believing that this planet's surface defines
how the life we see didn't begin with man.

Announcing the world is billions of years old.
Thinking canyons were formed slowly from the weather
when times the temperatures weren't as cold.
However, their lies don't fit well together.

Saying dinosaurs roamed here long before human.
Molecules began growing, that's how ape came about
with time, slowly evolving and turning into a caveman
spouting lies to brainwash us and leave no room for doubt.

If evolution was actually how life here got its start.
wouldn't we still be evolving improving becoming better?
Evolution would never end and we'd never fall apart.
Wouldn't we live in harmony here forever?

Their views can't explain how we are perfectly designed
they think Darwin's theory was the golden rule.
but they can't answer without clouding the mind
exposing how they're actually the fools.

They have no answers for our features
how they have such intricate details.
signs of God's creation is in each creature.
Whatever humans try to create eventually fails..

Time was made for people here on earth
to give us ways of knowing how long each day is,
tracking our lives from conception to birth
finally how death is the end of each one of us.

God took a day for each part of Creation
to show us we shouldn't work forever
but to take part of life for fun and recreation.
and spend time with Him resting together.

The Mask I Wear *2*

The Mask I Wear *2*

( I wear a mask *2*)

Though my problems I can't truly explain.
I constructed these walls to hide my pains
to replace the countless tears I cried.
Now all my tears remain dried.

I WEAR A MASK for each problem I face.
So people never see a hint or trace
of the difficulties and sorrows, I hide.
Those things I keep buried inside.

I wear the mask even though it's not real.
For it is the only way I'm able to deal
with the way, people act towards me.
I just pretend to always be happy.

Sometimes it hurts to get through a day.
If I don't respond then I'm not sure what to say
I struggle with the pains in everything I do.
Please understand I still appreciate you.

wasted mind

                                        wasted minds

Today's society is outdone and outdated
by our own imaginations and creativity
science and technology humans created
have turned off all normal activity.

Everywhere you look nowadays
everyone has their cellphones in hand
whether driving or walking they're texting away
The brains only understand screen commands

The children in today's present reality
have no idea what rotary phones are
or rabbit ear antennas for black and white TVs
how they worked or even cassette radios in the car

The best things of our childhood are now antiquated.
We went roller skating and playing in the streets
drinking from the garden hose, no one hesitated,
we'd get sweaty and come home with mud on our feet.

Give me the old days filled with laughter,
Listening to our bedtime stories with dad
as we dreamed of our happily ever after.
We didn't worry about how many gadgets we had

one hip cat

                                           one hip cat

Tiger acts like one cool dude.
He'll straighten out the other cats that are rude.
He always wears his hoodies and glasses
while watching the new cat as she passes

He has written his own meow rhyme
and sings it loud all the time
with a few purrs and hisses
hoping to get groupies and lots of kisses

He hasn't made the big times yet
but already Tiger is a cat they can't forget,
His swag and lyrics are well known
some cheer him on as others groan

He has his sights on fame and glory
hoping when he makes they'll write his story
but for now, he tries to perfect his look
you can see what it is today by this picture he took

Never give up

Never give up

Every day you get a new start
Another chance to get things right.
yesterday will soon be a distant memory
Make today start fresh, unburden your heart.

You only have yourself to blame
for never succeeding in your life.
Failure only happens when you quit trying.
and doing that would be a real shame.

Take each mistake as a lesson
of what won't work the next time.
Never lose the chance to learn
eventually, success will happen

more 2017 moved from one note

For me free verse seems  to be a problem
It seems so difficult for me to write them
If I try to write that way but I always write in rhyme
So to me free verse is the ultimate crime,

I try to write for various free verse contests
But I'm lousy at it , even when I'm at my best.
My mind and fingers seem to go separate ways
I sit to write, my fingers type what my mind doesn’t say.

The words seem to fly out and land everywhere
And before I know it I have a poem ready to share.
Sometimes I seem to have a  momentary brain fart
Words get jumbled up in there unable to depart.

Then other times it’s hard to say what will fly out
But I can say it will rhyme without out any doubt.
So for me it seems free verse is my poetry crime
And seeming to try to do it well is a waste of my time

We Mask  our pains.
We do it out of fear.
We try in vain
To hide  our tears.

But somehow we lose our  grip
of  the truth  we hide.
We fumble and trip
because we can't  show what's inside.

For if our masks were  taken away.
A shattered soul is what  you'd find.
We wouldn't know what to say
As you'd get  a glimpse inside our minds,

9/5/16

In grandpa's garden

It was always fun at grandpa's place.
We'd take a walk down the trail
It went around the old oak tree
Towards the wishing well
The warm sun felt good on my face.
We'd pick raspberries putting them in a pale.
Then eat them while he told me a story.
Mine were never as good as he'd tell.

I helped him plant the pretty rose.
Then fruits and veggies or every kind.
We'd go fishing down at the pond,
Eating the picnic that we made.
If I got muddy he'd spray me with the hose.
I'd run ahead while he stayed behind.
When we got back we had fresh lemonade.

****************

Longing to be free
Break out of my cocoon
Leaving the troubles behind me.

No one can ever keep me bound
Their lies are only spoken words
I leave them all on the ground.

The  saying what you dish out, give out or do
Will always come back to you a lot worse
than you gave or did to others around you.
Almost like causing your own curse.

I'm someone that will help others
When they  are down and out.
Whether it's kids or fathers and mothers
Accepting Who people are is what it is about.

In helping others in times of their plight
By food, shelter or a need for clothes.
So they can get through another hard  night
It comes back from others that only God knows.

During one Christmas we were having difficulty
With two small children to raise and no gifts from the store
Some one gave me a $300.00 check anonymously
Then when they read my thank you note they did even more

My words moved beyond tears from my thank you poem
They went to the store themselves to get more presents
To remain anonymous My Pastor delivered them
I never learned who they were, but they were heaven sent

                     *********

But if you give out evil and hate that is what come back
And it returns even ten times worse than went out.

Work in this
The glory years we now share
We fill them with a lot of laughter
While doing all the things we dare
To even imagine without any fear

Creating  our own kind of road map
Making it up as we go along
Not much time to take a nap
We make up our own silly song

Too much to see we don’t want to go back
We have to see it all while we're able
Stopping at the big Candy Shack
We pile our favorite sweets on a table

We know eventually, we will have to return
To see our own family and friends we know
but along the way, there are lessons to learn
And  so many places we still have to go

We met in school and became best friends
We began doing everything together
We dressed alike and teased the guys
On each other we knew we could depend
We couldn't imagine anything better
We even covered each other's lies

Our childhood flew by so fast
We played sports and went to dances
And dressed as witches for Halloween
We can say it was  such a blast
Always testing the limits and circumstances
We'd pull our pranks without being mean

We went to college and got degrees.
Then went on to our chosen careers.
Now we have our own families care for
Giving us a lot more responsibilities.
As time goes by months turn into years.
We long to get away even more

        *******

      The time has come

These are the glory years we now share
Leaving our worries and cares behind
We fill the days with a lot of laughter
While doing all the things we dare
To the danger we are blind
We go ahead without any fear

Creating  our own kind of road map
Making it up as we go along
Like we did when were little kids
Not much time to take a nap
We'll make up our own silly song
About all the fun things we did

Too much to see on our time away
We're not ready to go back
We have to see it all while we're able
Collecting memories with each new day
Stopping at the big Candy Shack
We pile our favorite sweets on a table

We know eventually, we will have to return
We have our responsibilities back home
We’ll bring back some souvenirs for gifts
but along the way, there are lessons to learn
So many countries to  explore and roam

Mom's Banana bread Recipe.

1/3 cup crisco butter shortening
2/3 cup of sugar.  ( 1/3 cup white sugar 1/3 cup of brown)
2 & 1/4 tsp of baking powder.   NO baking soda
1 cup of mashed bananas ( equal to two medium one if they good size )
1 & 3/4 cups of unbleached flour
2 eggs

Directions to the way I do it is……

Blend shortening and sugar together add the baking powder once sugar and shortening is blended well. Once the baking powder is mixed in add (1) egg to blend it in. Then slowly add the flour. With some banana in alternating  the flour and bananas. Add the 3/4 cups of flour 1/4 at a time So as to not have it fly everywhere.  I usually just leave the bananas whole breaking off small parts at a time.

When everything IS BLENDED TOGETHER AS A BATTER IT WILL BE THICK AND PASTY. ADD THE LAST EGG INTO IT. IT WILL MAKE IT MORE LIQUID AND EASIER TO POUR AND SCOOP OUT.
I MAKE THEM INTO MINI LOAVES OR MUFFINS INSTEAD. THEN THEY'RE EASIER TO GIVE OUT OR PACK. Then like daddy  would he'd love cut off the out crusts and leave the soft parts so with muffins you can't do it.

Make sure you grease the pans or muffin tins.
If you make muffins or small loaves it'll only be about 35 minutes for a full loaf pan you'll need about 55 minutes.
I pre heat the oven  to 375 degrees. But watch with the temperature some ovens heat up faster and hotter than others.
To know if it is done poke the top of the loaf or muffins with a fork if it comes out clean then they're done, if it's still gooey then cook a bit longer.
Also use a glass loaf pan they don't burn the bread like metal and you can see how brown the loaf bakes to.
Pull out of the oven and flip the loaf pans on their sides to ease it it out if it is stuck take a knife around the edges. muffins can be flipped out. To cool off . Make sure they aren't stuck to the edges before flipping though.
Again make sure any pans used are greased  well with the shortening.

The bananas vary in sizes.  2 mediums should equal one cup  You can play with it to get it perfect. Sometimes it is one large and one small one. Once you know the sizes you'll be able to  judge it by eye.

Day by day ,
you can't believe what they say.
They take everything slowly away.
Crushing walls in till you don't want to stay
It doesn't get better when you try to pray
They want things their own twisted way.
Only ones in their own clique can stay.
I wonder what God would have to say
7/26/2017
12:00 p.m.

God keeps me calm through all the storms
When I am cold and tired His embrace keeps me warm.

Though troubles chase me and fill me with fear
God's words remind me He is always near.

My enemies try to break me with their lies and efforts
But the mighty arms of God buffers me from what hurts.

Many times the adversary tried to cut me down in accidents
But the angels protected me from harm in every incident.

In the moments' others will blame me for things that are done
I will not strike back with revenge for I'm the innocent one.

Jesus died for me and gave me forgiveness and Salvation
And those that remain in their sins will find damnation.

There's shelter and comfort while resting in His arms.
No man's efforts that rise against can bring me great harm.

Living out a glorious life

The glory years we've shared
We filled them with laughter
While doing all the things we dared
To even imagine without any fear

Creating our own kind of road map
Making it up as we are going along
Not much time to take a nap
We make up our own silly song

Too much to see we don’t want to go back
We have to see it all while we're able
Stopping at the big Candy Shack
We pile our favorite sweets on a table

We know eventually, we will have to return
To see our  own family and friends we know
but along the way, there are lessons to learn
And still, so many places we still have to go

We searched the least of places
To find

THIS GOES WITH  THE GLORIOUS LIFE POEM ONCE 'I'M DONE WITH IT

We met in school and became best friends
We began doing everything together
On each other, we knew we could depend
We couldn't imagine anything better

Our childhood flew by so fast
We played sports and went to dances
We really had such a blast
Always testing the limits and circumstances

We both got married and have families
Leaning on each other in so many ways.
For we both have a lot of responsibilities
Together we make through bad days.

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

We've been friends since our childhood
Playing sports and in the marching band

************************************8
At our graduation we made a vow
We'd always remain in contact
We knew we'd  find a way somehow
No one else would have our back

We're out of school, going our own ways
Doing what grown-ups do now
We knew
So we made a solemn vow

On  our school reunion

8/23/17

Our first date was magical
Walking together holding hands
The breeze was cool
You had a special evening planned.

Music was playing in the background
Sitting together you kissed my cheek
I was relieved there was nobody around.
I just sat blushing and couldn't speak.

I was nervous, not knowing what to expect.
You smiled and looked me in the eye.
These are moments I can recollect
I felt light as if I was going to fly.

You took me in your strong embrace.
Reassuring me everything would be okay.
The kiss took my thoughts to a new place.
It was gentle and sweet taking my breath away.
